I am currently watching ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. and in one episode a side character notes that the MC, who seems very mysterious to them, might be just unconcerned with personal matters. This got me wondering. Is this a bad thing? Is tihs weird? I could very much resonate with that way of life.

I have been regarded as a quiet kid by my family and friends even though I try to be involved in my own way. I am there when they ask for me and will be there to support them in whatever way I am capable of. There are just things I don’t care about and would seem insincere to act as if I do. However, this philosophy of life might not be that efficient this world. I have little interest in people their own private lifes most of the time. I got enough to worry about myself (not a lot) and see no value in also bringing their worries within my own.

This is not to say I don’t care about people. I do. I care that my friends and family live a good life with as little problems as possible. I just am not going to pry in things I can’t really do anything about. If someone I am close with wants to confess some personal secret with me I am all ears or if they just want to air their heart out I am there too. I just won’t bother to dig for it but I am unsure why even after this explanation of why. I….this just has been my way of life and people find it odd. People also find it odd I do weird things or encourage weird things.

I don’t mean like “cut your hair into a mohawk and paint it orange” weird just things slightly outside of the norm. Things like “read that book others say is bad/weird to read” or “do that one things others would never imagine you would do”. Is this really strange?

Just a random thought that came to mind now too that might be related to this. I was talking to my mom about finding a job somewhere. Like literally anywhere and I was considering some random places when she eventually said something along the lines of “Oh yea at [insert random goverment organisation name here] they are always looking for people but I know how you wouldn’t work for them because you don’t really agree with the government” or something along those lines and…. I genuinely don’t know what she means with that. She has said things like that before but I have never expressed or feel any dissatisfaction with the Dutch government actually. I like my country. Way more than others most of the time. To circle back to main point of this post, I think I might be unintentionally projecting some kind of character towards others that might be rebelious or something along those lines. Which is strange since I follow rules quite closely a lot of the times.

I don’t know this just came to mind while watching the anime which I will be continuing to watch now. Cya :p
